Vehicle
Pickup and Drop-off Locations
We deliver rental vehicles anywhere in Barbados.
Delivery to most hotels is free between 8am
and 5pm. Delivery of vehicles to the airport
and seaport incurs a port-processing fee. After
hours delivery may be arranged. Renters may
return vehicle to our office or have it picked
up from their hotel.
What is
included in Rental Rates?
Rental rates normally include, unlimited mileage
and taxes. The rates also include a Standard
Collision Damage Waiver, which reduces the renter’s
liability for any physical damage to only US$1000
(excepting for tyres, rims and trims). Additional
level of protection is offered thru our Full
Collision Damage Waiver.
Who may
rent vehicles?
Drivers must hold driving licences for at least
three (3) years. Licences presented with endorsements
and traffic offenses may be refused. Drivers
must be between 21 and 70 years old. Driver’s
who are less than 25 years only will incur a
surcharge. Driver’s who do not reside
in Barbados must obtain a Visitor Driver’s
Permit, which we supply for US$5.00. The company
reserve the right not to rent to any person
it sees fit.
Barbados
Visitor Driver’s Permit
The local authorities require that all drivers
possess a local driver’s license or a
Visitor Driver’s Permit. We supply these
visitor’s permits on behalf of the Licensing
Authorities of Barbados at a cost of US$5.00
per person. These permits enable the holder
to drive in Barbados for 1 year.
Authorized
Additional Drivers
Persons desiring to drive the vehicle must be
authorized by the company and recorded on the
rental agreement. The qualification requirements
of an additional driver are the same as those
for the renter (see above, - Who may rent vehicles?).
There is a daily fee for additional authorized
drivers. If the renter allows the vehicle to
be driven by an unauthorized person, then all
protections or insurance provided under the
agreement are voided. The vehicle may also be
repossessed if seen driven by unauthorized persons.
Full Collision
Damage Waiver
Qualified renters may opt for the Full Collision
Damage Waiver (FCDW). The FCDW reduces the renter’s
liability for physical damage to $0.0 (excepting
for tyres, rims and trims). The company reserves
the right to deny FCDW to any renter, after
considering the risks and the renter’s
profile.
Road Side
Assistance
Whereas our vehicles are well maintained, sometimes
things may go wrong. We operate a 24-hour support
service and we are always just a telephone call
away. The island is small and we respond promptly.
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT to repair the vehicle.
The renter may not effect any repair on the
vehicle unless authorized by the company to
do so.
Payments
Payments are generally collected upon the clients
receiving the vehicles. We accept cash, US$,
CAD$, EURO, Travelers Cheques, VISA, MasterCard,
American Express and Discover credit cards.
If neither the renter nor additional possesses
an approved credit card, then a cash security-deposit
is required (which is returned to client at
the end of rental, provided that the vehicle
is returned in the same condition received).
The Rental
Day
The rental day is normally considered 24 hours
after the vehicle is delivered to the renter.
No to smoking,
drinking, eating and pets!
Smoking, eating and drinking are not permitted
in our vehicles, neither are pets. Where the
vehicle is returned in a filthy state, with
smoke, food or other offensive odors, the renter
will be charged a cleaning and fumigation fee.
In Case
of accidents
All accidents must be reported. In case of an
accident, the renter is required to obtain data
from the other party/parties (license #, Name,
Insurance Company, telephone numbers etc) and
then call our company immediately. The renter
should not leave the scene until the police
and/or one of our agents appear at the scene.
The renter also agrees that he/she will assist
the company in completing a formal report for
the insurance company.
Repossession
of vehicle
The company at its sole discretion, will repossess
the vehicle at anytime if :
a) Vehicle is left abandoned
b) Client fails to pay for rental and or charges
c) Agreed return date and time has elapsed
d) Vehicle is discovered to be driven in a reckless
manner,
or used for any purpose not
permitted under the agreement
